Annual Meeting September 26th, 2013 – DEAR MEMBERSHIP This IS ESPECIALLY YOUR TIME!!! This is the meeting all members will want to attend, this is your voice about your club. All members will have power to vote on topics such as exploring AMMC Racing getting back to ISR not only for the club but we will share what it could mean to an individual racer. ISR offers liability insurance, we all know this, but did you know they also offer insurance for the racer! ISR insures most popular high risk racing including Alaska’s IRON DOG, wouldn’t it be great to be on the same page with all other racing venues and share the same rules! ISR affiliates are also eligible for additional prizes through contingency prizes offered by manufacturers.
Currently AMMC Racing Divisions and current status are as follows: Snow Cross (Poor – currently need location), Cross Country(Strong), 120’s(Strong), Vintage (currently open for leadership), Special Events(Strong), Freestyle (currently contracted for special events upon approval of BOD) Ice Racing (Is it time to recruit a leader for Ice Racing? This AMMC Division has been dormant for years but could be re-opened with leadership, Anyone? Back to the subject of Snow Cross, We absolutely want snow cross but continue to struggle for the time ,energy and commitment necessary in making the connection with the right person and location, can you help? If so, do let us know =)
Volunteers Wanted! Thank you to all of you who have already stepped up! It’s great to see the enthusiasm and of course WE WANT MORE!
This year we hope to offer help to our treasurer, secretary and sponsorship director with the behind the scenes work that takes place before, during and after a race so please let us know you are willing to help so we may plan ahead and assign duties.
We need some interest in helping score, figuring payouts, etc.
We need a few hands on race day with setting up races, hanging banners etc.
We need help with a few fundraisers that are fun and bring everyone together, who would like to lead that? Spaghetti or steak night?
Our board members and volunteers had a great time this past year at Alyeska Motor Madness so we hope more will join us for another great event!
