Hi Everyone, Update for this weekend’s race!! ISLANDER 120
The first race of the season is Jan. 11th at Islander. This will be a lap race 3 laps for a total of 120 miles! The trail is marked with Teal Blue and Fluorescent Pink ribbon. There will be a $20 one time fee or membership if you will for Big Lake Trails in addition to the annual membership fees and standard race fees. They are going to take care of the driveways the best they can to help keep us safe as well as the trail before and after the race.
For this race you will supply your own fuel. Fueling to be done from approved container in designated pit area only.
This is the rundown!
- Registration 9:00 – 10:30 AM Sat. 11th at The Islander
- Tech Inspection 11:00 AM out in front of Islander
- Race starts at 12:00
A few reminders:
All memberships have expired and need to be renewed in order to race. AMMC and Lions. I will have forms available at registration. You can also go to Membership and Race Registration Forms Tab here on the site and click on each of the first three. 2013 AMMC Membership form, AMMC LIONS membership and XC Race Entry Form. The Open Trophy Class 0-1000cc will be $50.00 instead of 100. No fuel fee but add $20 in the “Other” line item at the bottom of the page. Other than that, everything is the same. Be patient, they take awhile to open sometimes. For now you will still print it out and email to me by Thurs. or bring it with you during sign ups. I still need to do some test n tune of my own for the website version to be accurate!
All fees need to be paid prior to tech insp. or you may not race.
If you plan on paying by check it needs to be preauthorized by Cobie at 854-2449.
Please have your sleds and gear ready and lined up for tech inspection. This means clearly visible numbers on both sides of sled. Protective gear on. Ready to race.
We had to cancel the Dec. 28th race due to conditions and at this point Eureka does not have enough snow to cover the alders so maybe later in the year we can race up there. We would all love to get back up there for a race!
