Registration for the first weekend of racing with AMMC is now open!! The 120, junior, and adult classes will all be racing the weekend after New Years. Our 120 racers kickoff the season on Saturday, Jan. 9th. Racer check-in will start at 10:30 am, followed by tech inspection, a racers meeting, and then races will begin at 12:00. This year our 120 classes are as follows: Stock, Super Stock, Improved Stock, Pro Stock, Pro 206, and Champ. If you have questions regarding class specifications or rules, please check out our guidelines here.

The junior & adult classes will be starting out their season on Sunday, Jan. 10th, with the first Ice-X race in a series of 3 races. Race check-in begins at 9:00 am, with tech inspection from 10:00 – 11:00, followed by a racers meeting and then the races will start at 12:00. This race series takes place in front of the Islander Lodge on Big Lake, and is always a great one to come out and watch. Racers run laps on a closed course with bumps, turns, and like last year there will most likely be a little bit of ice! There are two important changes for this season that you need to be aware of when setting up your machines, and our race techs will be looking for them during tech inspection. 1: No aftermarket mufflers will be allowed on either 2 stroke or 4 stroke machines. All exhaust components must be OEM with no modifications. 2: Only studs with a 60 degree tip will be allowed. Maximum stud count is 144, outside pattern allowed. Neither 45 degree or ice picks will be allowed in our Ice-X/X-Country races.

Don’t forget, we changed up our membership rules this past summer to encompass all racers with AMMC Racing. If you are 13 and under, you may purchase a youth membership or family membership. Some families that have more than 3 kiddos may want to take advantage of the benefits of our family membership. Racers that are 14 and up are (and always have been) required to purchase an individual membership or family membership. For more information regarding the different membership types and the benefit to each one, please check out the about page here. You may always contact AMMC Racing with any questions or concerns regarding our club memberships.

All racers over the age of 18 are required to purchase a Lion’s Club Membership prior to, or at the first race. Big Lake Aurora Lion’s Club allows AMMC Racing to utilize their insurance through their club. We encourage you to sign-up through Big Lake Aurora Lion’s or with the Lion’s Club that is local to your community. Lion’s Club’s provide a great service to our communities throughout the world and we hope that all racers take some time to check out how they can serve in their community.

Now, get on over to our Raceday website and get your registration started!! If you have not already created a Raceday profile, you will need to do that first. Once you have gotten a profile setup, you can get right in and take care of your membership and event registration. We really prefer (and require for adults unless you want to pay a late fee) that you take care of your registration prior to the day of the event. AMMC will be busy the day of the race with check-ins, getting heat sheets and class rosters setup, tech inspections, and so on. If we are having to walk through the entire registration process with racers, it will cause a delay in the start of the races. So, please get it done ahead of time! If you have any questions about how to use Raceday or if you have forgotten your password from last season, please contact Jessica 354-3077 or Sadie 315-7184.
