The 2026 Gunsight Snow Scramble delivered classic Alaska racing, combining heat‑style snocross intensity with the endurance and line‑picking of cross‑country, two disciplines AMMC Racing has supported for decades. Even with low‑snow conditions on the Gunsight course, riders dug deep and pushed through three demanding heats in a true enduro‑style format. The terrain rewarded aggression, consistency, and smart racing from the first flag to the final lap. We’ve been fired up watching racing across the state all winter, but nothing beats hosting our own event and seeing the AMMC community show up ready to race.
We also want to thank everyone who stepped up to help during the event. We know how much dedication it takes to support your own racers and still be out on course keeping things running smoothly. This community shows up, works hard, and makes events like this possible.
A huge thank‑you as well to Gunsight Mountain Lodge for hosting us for the second year, Fish Creek Sales for their continued support of every AMMC event, Tim Simpson for the incredible award plaques, and Tracey Try for braving the elements to capture all the action. We also had ambulance and EMS support on site from Copper River EMS in Glenn Allen, as well as our much needed portables hauled to Gunsight and back by Royal Flush.
