The youth racers brought serious intensity to the 2026 Gunsight Snow Scramble, tackling a hybrid format that blended heat‑style snocross with cross‑country endurance on classic Alaska terrain. Low‑snow conditions made the course technical and demanding, but these riders stayed focused through all three heats and proved they’re ready for the next level. Smart lines, clean starts, and determination defined every class. We’ve been fired up watching racing across the state all winter, but nothing beats hosting our own event and seeing the AMMC community show up ready to race.

We want to give a huge thank‑you to the families and volunteers who kept the youth program running strong throughout the day. Supporting your own racers while also stepping in to help on course takes real commitment, and we deeply appreciate the effort and dedication this community brings.

Special thanks to Gunsight Mountain Lodge for hosting us for the second year, Fish Creek Sales for their continued support, Tim Simpson for the outstanding award plaques, and Tracey Try for braving the conditions to capture every moment. We also had ambulance and EMS support on site from Copper River EMS in Glenn Allen, as well as our much needed portables hauled to Gunsight and back by Royal Flush.
